The After Party
Aug. 3rd, 2017 03:47 am His attire was thoughtfully planned out by Clive and Mathilda, since apparently he wasn't qualified to make the decision for such an occasion, as such he 'would destroy Zofia with a single undone seam on his cuff'. Which was silly, considering how clean cut he was. He's just been a soldier for so long that wearing something exhibiting his stature once again was somewhat daunting. What would his brother have said? Regardless, those thoughts are soon put to the back of his mind since Clive has allowed him the pleasure of being his sister's date.
A deep burgundy overcoat, not too long and not too short that closed over a black leather jerkin that enclosed his neck. It was modest, since they knew he wouldn't wear a hat to save his own life. Mathilda's shoes were demure as well, nothing that showed that the Deliverance was superfluous, but definitely worth committing your honor to. Clive was probably the most decorated (as much as allowed), establishing his role as a leader of the Deliverance with embroidered gold trim and a dark sash over his jacket. If there was any consistency, it was that they too, had no intention in wearing gaudy accessories.
They arrived first, before the Clair's party had entered in with Alm -- fashionably late as Mathilda instructed them to. Lukas by that time was exhausted by the offers of dalliances and other proposals some of the guests were throwing at him. Were it not for Clive intervening in order to tell him to retrieve his sister, he might have excused himself sooner or later. At least, if anything was worth attending this festivity, it would be to see how brilliant Alm handled everyone tonight. It was only after a rousing speech Alm gave, did he manage to approach Clair trying to pry her attention away from Gray, Tobin, Kliff and Faye's attention, by greeting them all at once. "Are we enjoying ourselves?"
